Dear visitors,

We are very pleased that we have been able to bring the painter and graphic artist Hans Körnig (1905 - 1989) back into the focus of public perception through the museum's activities over the past 11 years. The artist's work and significance have been brought to the forefront of a new awareness of Dresden's art scene, as well as of the view on art in the post-war period in Germany.

We would like to thank you in particular for the interest you have shown and the lively exchange that has taken place, especially on the occasion of our numerous events. We have always appreciated the positive feedback on presented exhibitions and our program as a valuable inspiration.

As of 31st March 2021 we will say goodbye to the museum's operations and will henceforth focus our activities primarily on cataloging Hans Körnig's extensive oeuvre of paintings and prints.

With the Hans Körnig Archive, we will remain your contact for information on the life and work of the artist. In addition, we continue to endeavor making the multifaceted richness of Körnig's artistic oeuvre accessible to the public. This will be realized primarily in the context of special exhibitions with loans to the institutions associated with us.
